I attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan where I received both my degrees in Master of Arts, Teaching the Elementary School, and Bachelor of Science, minoring in Elementary Education, English, and Integrated Creative Arts.  I enjoy walking, camping, canoeing, and spending time with my family. My husband, Scott, is a material handler at Haworth, Inc. I have two children, Michael and Molly. I feel that young children need a nurturing and positive environment in which to learn. My role as a teacher is to make learning meaningful and exciting while encouraging and supporting each child to perform to his/her fullest potential. Parental support plays an important role in a child's educational career. On going communication between school and family is a crucial component in establishing a successful and rewarding school year.
