I graduated from MSU with a BA in Elementary Education and minors in Spanish and social studies.  After teaching for a few years in middle schools in MI and OH, I decided to try teaching elementary school.  I enrolled in a few classes to boost my skills and knowledge in teaching reading and was fascinated.  Reading is such a complex skill to master and yet so critical to success.  I decided to pursue a degree in Reading and earned a Masters from GVSU.
