Mrs. Hilsbos  -  Art Teacher
 
 

 My name is Debra A. Hilsbos, I am the Art Teacher at Pine Trails and West Ward Elementary Schools.

I believe we are all unique individuals and each of us has our own style in how we create our artwork.  Our creativity in artwork comes from within ourselves.

I graduated from Schoolcraft High School in Schoolcraft, Michigan.  I have a BA in Art Education (grades K-12) from Western Michigan University. I also have a K-8th grade classroom endorsement.

  

I like all areas of art but my favorite areas are drawing, acrylic and watercolor painting.

I painted the mural at the Blue Dolphin Restaurant in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I have been President of the Plainwell Arts Council for the past six years. This summer I painted in Mancino's Restaurant in Plainwell.

I am married to Richard Hilsbos.  I have 8 children and 5 grandchildren with another one due in February.
