Ms. Guy - Fifth Grade Teacher  

Welcome to the educational world of 5th grade at Pine Trails Elementary. I have been involved in the education of many children that have passed through the halls here. Many former students are now coming back as parents! I graduated with a BS in Elementary Physical Education and Elementary Education from Grand Valley University. I have taught Physical Education at Pine Trails for 9 years prior to moving into the classroom. I have a Master's degree from Central Michigan University with hours beyond.

On a more personal basis; I have three children, Stephanie who is a second grade teacher in Pontiac and is married to Corey. Stacilyn is a senior at Grand Valley majoring in law with hopes to be an attorney. Shawn works at Gentex.

Outside of the educational world I am active in different organizations. I own and ride two Harley Davidson motorcycles. I belong to the Harley Owners Group, the Muskegon Hog chapter, Women on Wheels of which I am one of the nine member National Board , and West Michigan Drifters who can be seen riding bikes with white leather. I have biked all over our great country; from the east coast to the west coast and have many adventures to talk about. When I am not in the classroom or on the bike, you'll find me at home attempting to write children's books based on my experiences in and out of the classroom. Several students have given me insight.
