Mrs. Licavoli - Music

My name is Mrs. Licavoli I teach music at North Ward Elementary and Dawson Elementary. Besides teaching, I am also a wife and a mother of two children.

In each music class, I will try to instill an appreciation of music in a variety of different musical formats. Students will be given hands on experiences with Orff instruments, recorders, movement, and singing. Students will learn the basic music elements of beat, rhythm, and melody. Each class has at least one public performance a year.

Discipline in the music room models the Assertive Discipline Plan. Each student is given two warnings before they are asked to report to the principal. If a student's behavior affects their music grade, a progress report will be sent home mid-marking period so that improvement can be made.
