Hello, My Name is Matthew Hermann and I have been counseling at L.E. White since August of 2001.  Before that, I taught World Geography, Psychology, and Michigan History at Newberry High School in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  In addition to the duties as teacher I also coached Junior Varsity Girls Basketball and directed the All School Play at NHS.  My undergraduate degree in education (Social Studies) was finished at Northern Michigan as well as my Masters in school counseling.

I continue to enjoy being apart of the LE White school staff.    In addition to my duties as counselor, I have continued to coach girls basketball at the 7^th, 8^th, and 9^th grade levels, directed the school musicals, and help with Destination Imagination.  The students are a continual source of inspiration and working with them keeps me young.
