MEAL BENEFITS:  Submit a completed Free and Reduced Price School Meals Family Application to the food service office.  One application should be completed per family each school year.  Please fill out the application completely, including all household members, school building and grade of students,all household wages, signature, and last four digits of your Social Security number.  All students who received Free or Reduced price meal benefits at the end of the previous school year will continue to receive those benefits until a new application has been submitted and processed in September.

LUNCH:  Lunch at the elementary schools is $2.50 and $.40 for reduced price students.  Lunch at the Middle and High School is $2.75 and $.40 for reduced price students. Milk is included with all lunches; if a student wished to purchase a milk separately they are charged $.50.

BREAKFAST: Breakfast at all schools is $1.75 and $.30 for reduced price students. Breakfast times are:


L.E. WHITE MIDDLE SCHOOL:  7:25 – 7:40 A.M.

ALLEGAN HIGH SCHOOL:  7:20 – 7:45 A.M.

LUNCH ACCOUNTS:  Each student has their own lunch account. Lunch accounts must be prepaid.  They are not to be used as a charge account; rather, much like a checking or debit account.  Payment for lunch accounts can be made at the school, via mail, or, online.  To pay online please use the e-fund for schools link to the right.

CHARGE POLICY:  Lunch accounts should be prepaid.  Low balance slips and emails are sent home on a regular basis.  It is the policy of the Allegan Public School district that a student is given an alternative lunch if they have charged four meals without payment. The alternative lunch consists of a sandwich and milk, the student is not charged for the alternative lunch.    

SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS:  Special dietary needs will be addressed upon receipt of a signed physician statement detailing the dietary needs.  Contact the Food Service Director for special dietary needs.
