Ms. Kornoelje - 4th grade

I live in Kalamazoo, and I have two grown sons, Russ and Randy. They are 27 and 29 years old. Russ works for Coca-Cola, and Randy has his real estate license, but is currently working for Avis Car Rental.

I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Western Michigan University with a major in Business Education, and two minors-one in Elementary Education and one in General Business in 1972. I have also taken graduate courses in Education.

Upon graduation I took a position as executive secretary to the Dean of Instruction at Kalamazoo Valley Community College for seven years. I then stayed home for seven years to raise my children. I have taught at Dawson Elementary for 21 years.

I enjoy working with parents in educating their children. There is a lot of new technology at Dawson Elementary which gives our students the maximum opportunity for development in our ever-changing world. Helping your child enjoy education and learn is the goal I have in working with parents. New programs are continually being evaluated and implemented which keeps Allegan Public Schools a great place to be!
