Mrs. Burnett - 5th Grade
| I am excited to start my fourth year
teaching and am looking forward to meeting and getting to the students,
parents and staff at Dawson Elementary. This year will be my first time
working in the Allegan Public Schools, though I graduated from here many
moons ago. I have been interested in moving to fifth grade, and am
enthusiastic about my new position.

Currently, I am finishing my Masters degree at Michigan State University, where I also completed my English and Teaching degrees. For the past three years I taught in Belding, MI, one year as the librarian, and two years at third grade.
My husband, Chris and I bought a house in Allegan this June and have spent most of the summer painting and unpacking. We have a ten-year-old dog, Dylan, who is showing his age, but still enjoys swimming and long walks.
As for the school year, we have a lot of work ahead of us, but with perseverance we will strive for success. In order for a smooth year, I feel that parent-teacher communication is key.
