Mrs. Burnett - 2nd Grade
| My name is Becky Burnett and I am a
second grade teacher at Dawson. I am currently in my twelth year with
second graders. I have been with Allegan Public Schools since 1978. The
other capacities in which I have taught are Head Start, first grade,
third grade, and fourth grade. Prior to coming to Allegan, I taught at
Otsego and Frasier. I am an MSU graduate and hold a permanent degree. As
well as an elementary education major, I also have an
English/Communication Arts major, and a social science minor. |
My husband Jim and I have raised our daughter,Allison, and our son, Christopher, in Allegan. Both are Dawson and Allegan High School alums. Allison graduated from WMU and is married to Adam Hammond. I am enjoying my new role as "mother-in-law" and grandmother to Isabelle and Dominic. Christopher is an MSU law student graduate and was married in October 2005.
When I am not teaching I enjoy sports, jogging, reading, gardening, glass bead and jewelry making, baking, cooking, and the company of good friends.
